Academy for Grassroots Organizations was formed in the year 2000 to meet the needs of a growing Inland Empire Region by coalescing and strengthening its nonprofit and community-benefit sector. Today, with a mission to Convene, Equip, and Guide Community Leaders, “AcademyGO” provides a variety of resources and learning opportunities throughout the region and serves a network of more than 3,000.

Ready to Grow: Building Financially Resilient Nonprofits
Ready to Grow is a year-long initiative – running from November 2021 through October 2022 – to grow capacity in Orange County’s nonprofit sector. While components of this initiative will be open to all regional nonprofits, there is a significant emphasis on BIPOC-led and/or serving organizations with revenues less than $1M.

The Center for Social Innovation—which is the result of two years of planning, community engagement, and foundation dialogue—provides a credible research voice that spurs civic leadership and policy innovation. We also aim to integrate researchers, community organizations, and civic stakeholders in collaborative projects and long-term partnerships that boost collective impact.
