Inland Empire Community Foundation
Organization Background
The Inland Empire Community Foundation (formerly known as The Community Foundation) recently celebrated over 75 years of strengthening Inland Southern California through Philanthropy. Beginning their impact in Riverside County, in 2000 the Foundation expanded its mission to serve both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
The Inland Empire Community Foundation performs the following functions:
• Raises assets from individuals, families and others for charitable contributions
• Invests and administers charitable assets
• Makes grants to nonprofit organizations that are doing important work in health and human services, youth and families, arts and culture, education – and for civic and environmental benefit
• Serves as a convener by bringing together key stakeholders to determine community needs; facilitates the development of collaborative solutions to important community issues; and acts as a catalyst for positive change.

| 2018 | $15,000 | The Women’s Giving Circle was established to engage a group of women to participate in philanthropy through education, grantmaking, and various community activities. Through collective giving and collaboration, the giving circle is committed to improving the economic security of women and their families in the Inland Region while uniting a diverse group of effective women philanthropists. The Women’s Giving Circle has over 30 members and has awarded a $15,000 grant to Purple Hearts Victims of Domestic Violence. |
