Organization Background
Established in 1980, the mission of Catholic Charities is to provide services that impact family, neighborhood, and society so that lives are filled with hope. Catholic Charities is #1 referred to agency in the Inland Counties by 211 and others. Their services are intended to be non-judgmental, highly relational, flexible, unconventional times, and focus on practical problem solving and empowerment.

Catholic Charities is quite unique in the broad range of services provided by one organization. They strive to take a comprehensive approach to stabilizing individuals and families in duress by intervening when needed most to address their financial, social, emotional and/or physical needs to regain stability and move forward with their lives.

CC’s approach to helping families regain their equilibrium following an unexpected crisis is their casework process. Casework staff work closely with families to assess their pressing difficulties and challenges and initiate essential problem-solving tasks to resolve key issues.  In a non-institutional environment and with caring interactions, caseworkers and families develop goals and objectives uniquely tailored for each family and explore options and services available that are required to meet their immediate needs.  Multi-faceted interventions include direct assistance (clothing, utilities, food, prescriptions), financial support (eviction prevention, transportation), and key linkages to housing, medical insurance, employment, to name a few.
